Garden to Plate lessons started this term with classes cooking a variety of healthy and wholesome foods picked from the school vegetable garden or donated local families.
The program builds skills through practical classes both in the garden and the kitchen. Students develop their awareness of where foods come from, how to grow and harvest them and how to work as a team to prepare, cook and serve delicious, healthy foods. They also learn how to clean up after themselves!
Students are encouraged to take their learning home and maybe (with parent permission) try out some of their class recipes with their families.
