Point Pearce class update

What a crazy few weeks we have had of learning and fun at Point Pearce, and who can believe it’s Week 3 already!

We started the term diving head first into patterns and the students have picked it up so well and have been able to enjoy loads of hands-on activities including patterns with our bodies and creating patterns in their books using different materials.

The students have also enjoyed lots of extra activities such as meeting a family of baby chickens and talking about the features we could see, learning how they would grow up, learning how to plant vegetables in the Ag block with their buddies and learning how to care for them. This was all in the first Week. Phew!

Week 2 saw the students learning about how different animals move in InitiaLit and they created wriggly snakes to hang in the classroom. Maths saw us learning more about patterns with Numbers and Skip counting by learning through songs and interactive apps.

We’ve also been having fun with Mr Tuck in Drama, role-playing being snowmen and throwing pretend snowballs around. With all this happening in the first two weeks I cannot wait to see what other fun things we get up to and all the fantastic learning to come.
