It is my pleasure to welcome you to Central Yorke School. We prides ourselves on fostering positive relationships between families and staff, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Our four distinct campuses allow us to focus on the needs of children at the different stages in their learning:

  • Maitland Campus Early Learning Centre (Birth to 5 years of age)
  • Point Pearce Campus (Birth to Year 2)
  • Maitland Campus Primary School (Reception to Year 6)
  • Maitland Campus Secondary School (Year 7 to Year 12)

Our school values of Respect, Relationships, and Resilience are integral to the success of Central Yorke School and are reflected in everything we do.

At Central Yorke School, we uphold high standards of behaviour, appearance, punctuality, and attendance. We believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

  • Appropriate behaviour: Harassment, violence, or substance abuse will not be tolerated. We are committed to maintaining a respectful learning environment for all.
  • Appearance: Our school grounds and facilities are well-maintained, fostering a positive atmosphere for learning. Uniforms are an important aspect of our identity and discipline, and we expect all students to adhere to our uniform policy.
  • Punctuality/Attendance: Regular attendance and punctuality are crucial for academic success. We rely on the support of parents to ensure students arrive on time and ready to learn.
  • Bullying/Harassment: We have a zero tolerance for bullying or harassment of any kind. Students and parents can report incidents by contacting a member of leadership, ensuring a safe and inclusive school environment for all.

As a B-12 school with a rich culture, we are continually refining our procedures to better serve our students. Your feedback is invaluable in this process, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any ideas or concerns.
