It is my pleasure to welcome you to Central Yorke School.

As a school community we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where staff are committed and passionate about providing a memorable experience for all students.

As a Birth to Year 12 school, we provide continuity of quality learning. We take the time to get to know our students and provide meaningful personalised learning for every student, and we nurture and support learning across our four unique sub-schools:

  • Maitland Campus Early Learning Centre (Birth to 5 years of age)
  • Point Pearce Campus (Birth to Year 2)
  • Maitland Campus Primary School (Reception to Year 6)
  • Maitland Campus Secondary School (Year 7 to Year 12)

School Values

Our school values of Respect, Relationships, and Resilience are integral to the success of Central Yorke School and are reflected in everything we do.

Student Voice

Student Voice is highly visible and valued at Central Yorke School. Students are represented on major decision-making committees and play a vital role in making Central Yorke School a school of choice. Our aim is to develop students who are creative and critical thinkers, who develop excellent communication and collaboration skills, and who are leaders in our community.

Facilities

We have a large range of facilities across our two sites which support our comprehensive curriculum and extracurricular activities. As a school we prioritise smaller class sizes to ensure a personalised approach where learning is designed to build on the individual strengths, interests and growth for all our children and young people.

Teaching

Our high quality innovative teaching and learning programs support students to develop as motivated and confident learners who can apply their understanding and skills in a range of contexts. We provide extension and enrichment programs across all learning areas including SACE accredited subjects in Year 10. We actively develop innovative and advanced learning opportunities working with the local community, state universities and industry providers. Our Career Development program is linked to student pathways and implemented across the school from Early Years through to Post School.

As a community we have high expectations of all members ensuring a safe and supportive school; one that students, staff and families are proud to be part of.

I welcome you to view our website, join our Facebook page or contact the school to book a school tour to see what our school has to offer and why we are the school of choice.
