It was fine weather for this year’s Dawn Service with a big crowd gathered at the Maitland War Memorial. Our Prefects and SRC were in attendance, presenting wreathes and library-book donations. We also had a big turnout of musicians, with over forty YP Concert Band students, staff, and community members playing. Your performance always adds an important dimension to the service!
Thank you to all the families and staff who attended. Your presence made the event truly special and memorable. Thanks also to Maitland Progress for their annual organisation of this important community event.
But let us especially remember the significance of Anzac Day, honouring the brave men and women who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, selflessness, and resilience continue to inspire us as we strive to foster these values in our school community.
