On Wednesday the 3rd of May, 6 of our Primary students competed in the SYP District Cross Country event at Yorketown Area School. Olivia Adams and Louie Roennfeldt kicked off the day as our first two competitors running in the 10 year old events. Both students ran a total of 2000m which was an amazing effort all on its own.
They paced themselves well throughout the event and set a great example for the rest of the team who were yet to race. A special congratulations to Olivia Adams who placed second in her age group.
Our 11 year old boy Harry Moore and our 12 year old girls Sophie Burrows, Lily Davies and Katrina Bennett ran a total of 3000m and showed great athleticism and perseverance in running an outstanding race.
Throughout the day our students displayed great sportsmanship in the way they supported one another throughout every race.
Congratulations again to the students who have now qualified for the Championships in Oakbank in June.
