CYS has been selected by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) to participate in this year’s ACARA Item Trial.
The trial is being held in approximately 440 schools across Australia.
Item Trial tests have occurred each year since 2007. Each year a small number of schools participate. Schools are carefully selected to ensure a diverse range of student backgrounds and abilities is represented.
The purpose of the trial is to evaluate potential questions (items) for use in future NAPLAN tests. Students’ involvement and the results from the trial will help ACARA ensure that NAPLAN tests
remain valid, reliable and fair for all students.
