Who are we, and what do we do?
The Parents and Friends Association’s objective is to support the involvement of the school community in the school by supporting the principal and school staff to enhance student learning and encouraging parents to become involved in our school.
Our P&F has a long and solid history of helping our school. We meet regularly to work out how we can best do this.
Previous projects
Some of our previous projects include the planting in the school front yard, helping run successful school open days, fundraising, organising and cooking for stalls at sports days, music concerts, school productions and Christmas on the Green, assisting with sewing for school productions and helping in our own school canteen with soup donations and helpers.
Term 3 plans
This term is going to be a busy one. We have already planned-
Working with kindy families to cater for the Early Childhood conference
Helping Di Bourne with costumes for ‘Yeti Hunt’
Planning a garden and planting in the staff car park area
Hosting a Father’s Day breakfast at the Ag Block
Running a canteen at the performances of ‘Yeti Hunt’
Continued assistance in the canteen
Come and try!
We welcome and encourage all parents from the Central Yorke School wider community, Point Pearce, kindy and rural care to join us.
There is something for everyone. We don’t require a big commitment from members, any help given is much appreciated.
You may not be able to attend meetings but might be available to help on the day at one of our planned events.
Children welcome
Younger children are always able to come along with parents and being involved is also a fantastic way to meet other parents from our school.
Next meeting
Our next meeting will be Friday 10th August at 2pm in the CYP library.
Many hands make light work and we’d love to see you there!
