7/8 Model Instruments

The Year 7 and 8 Performing Arts classes built model instruments as part of a unit on ‘Instruments of the Orchestra’.

Students could choose to build a realistic but non-working instrument or a working but non-realistic instrument and there were plenty of entries in both categories.
Realistic models included flutes, trombones, trumpets and clarinets, with some being so good that students were asked why they were out of their cases!

Triangles and wind chimes were popular in the working-instrument category which also included an octave long beer-bottle xylophone and two cakes (which were both clever AND delicious!)
