On Wednesday October 27, some Year 5, 6 and 7 students travelled to the Maitland Town Oval to play in the annual Adelaide Crows 9-aside Football Carnival. The team included CYS and girls from Ardrossan. Games were played against Minlaton District, St Mary Mackillop, Harvest Christian and Maitland Lutheran School. The girls were the strongest team in our fixture, finishing the tournament in second position. Unfortunately, the girls could not overcome a strong Maitland Lutheran School team in the Grand Final, going down by 3 goals. Well done to all girls involved and a special thankyou to our Central Yorke Football Academy students – Xenos , Tayla , Lily , Adam and Oscar – for their help on the day.
