It is with sadness that the CYS community learned of the recent passing of Barrie Koch. Barrie was a strong supporter of our school, in particular our Sports Day events. Our major cup is named in Barrie’s honour and he attended Sports Day whenever he could to present his cup to the winning team. Barrie could often be seen out on the oval in the lead up to the big day providing expert guidance to our athletes and he was a long standing record holder. As an avid reader, Barrie was also a strong supporter of our school library. Our school community would like to pass on our condolences to Barrie’s family. He will be sadly missed.
