We offer support through student and family wellbeing check-ins, referral support to access allied health services, and restorative practice meetings
The Central Yorke School Wellbeing Team warmly welcomes you and your family to our vibrant, diverse, and caring school community. Our dedicated team includes:
- Jaynelle Le Feuvre (Agriculture, Wellbeing)
- Kirsty Trask (Inclusion Leader)
- Kelly Whittaker (Pastoral Care Worker)
- Kim Blencowe (School Support Officer)
We are committed to supporting all students in recognising and valuing the factors that contribute to their wellbeing. We understand that everyone experiences challenges, and we encourage parents to reach out to teachers for student learning support and to our Wellbeing Team for any concerns affecting your child’s school life.
Parent Partnerships
We look forward to collaborating with you to make Central Yorke School a thriving, happy, and welcoming place for everyone. Our partnership with families is essential to ensure your child has a positive year, feeling supported, inspired, and included in our school community.
We believe that taking care of physical and mental health lays a strong foundation for learning and building positive, respectful relationships. Wellbeing and learning are closely linked; when wellbeing is low, learning can be impacted.
Our Wellbeing Team aspires to foster a common language that empowers young people to thrive by developing the knowledge, skills, capabilities, perseverance, and creativity needed for a successful future.
We are dedicated to nurturing an environment that focuses on the academic, physical, social, and emotional development of each student, ensuring they are known, understood, valued, and cared for.
We offer support through student and family wellbeing check-ins, referral support to access allied health services, and restorative practice meetings.
Harmony Week
Harmony Week celebrates our diversity and unites Australians from all backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone. At Central Yorke School, we will celebrate by wearing casual clothes on Friday, 21st March. Students can enjoy lunchtime activities, including music, dance, face painting, and a variety of special foods provided by the Wellbeing Committee and Michelle from the canteen.
Breakfast Club
Taking care of physical and mental health is crucial for learning and building positive relationships and a key aspect of physical health is exercise and healthy eating.
To support this, Central Yorke School offers a Breakfast Club in our canteen every morning from 8:20-8:40 am. We provide toast and a range of food items to kickstart the students’ day. This is especially beneficial for those who may not have time for breakfast at home or who travel by school bus.
School Uniforms
Clean second-hand uniforms (see photo opposite) are available from the student services office, along with a range of school shoes. Contact the office for more information.
Kind Regards,
