School Home Partnerships

One of the most important components of a good school is the partnership between the school and parents. There is no question about it – success at school begins at home.

Parents are the single most important variable in a child’s schooling. Parents model both a silent and spoken language in front of their children daily. Therefore it is important that both the school and parents work together to support their children.

To help promote student success and involve parents in the learning, many of our teachers are putting their courses online in a flipped classroom setting.
When talking to your child about their learning you may hear terms such as Moodle, One Note and Google Classroom. These platforms are what some of our teachers are using to put their courses on so students can access learning 24/7.  This means that students aren’t disadvantaged when they miss class, are sick, start falling behind or are academically advanced.
Everything they need is right at their fingertips. I encourage all parents to log on and have a look at what your child is doing in their classes. You can log on through your child’s username and password.
