Sports Day 2023

The 2023 Sports Day was a fantastic event that showcased the best of our community spirit, sportsmanship, and goodwill.

From the very beginning, the atmosphere buzzed as students, teachers and parents prepared the events and facilities for a day of competition. It was very clear that everyone was determined to make it a success!

As the day progressed, the competitive spirit was in full swing, with each student giving their all in every race and event. Some younger students enjoyed their events so much they decided to run them twice! But what was truly commendable was the way in which the students supported and cheered each other on. There were no tears of disappointment or anger, only smiles and high-fives for all those who participated. It was a great example of what can be achieved when we work together, support one another, and show respect for our peers.

For the day to run successfully it takes a dedicated team and I want to thank all the staff, students and parents who contributed. Special thanks go to Jason Clifford and Luke Trenorden for coordinating such a well organised day and to Jenny Moloney and P&F members for running the canteen which raised $1700 on the day. Congratulation go to Kane Elliott and Ruby Dyett for leading the Spencer Sharks to victory with 2,708 points, a narrow 122 point win over the Vincent Eagles.

Days like this are remembered long after the event and are a wonderful example of the positive impact that can be made when we come together and work as a team.
