High Expectations

In the primary division of CYS we have chosen High Expectations as our focus for 2019. Students live up to our expectations and student achievement is strongly affected by what the teacher expects.  Our teachers let students know we believe in them. We develop strong relationships with students and their families and everyone is given a chance to voice their opinions. Tasks set challenge our students to problem solve and strengthen their skills. Lessons are designed with teachers explicitly outlining the learning intentions and what the success criteria is for the students.

Students are provided with a high level of support with varied teaching and modes of presentation, access to resources and consistent, specific feedback allowing them to grow and improve as learners.
