Hello my name is Caitlyn . I am the Central Yorke School Primary Festival Choir Captain for 2021.The Festival Choir has over 20 students from years 4-8 and we have rehearsals on Wednesday mornings. We have a lot of songs to learn and solos to audition to sing. My favourite songs are ‘I Have a Voice’, ‘Water is Life’ and ‘Eye of the Sound Storm’ because they are true and you need to have a powerful voice!
In Choir we learn, practice and develop our skills in singing for the Festival performance at the Entertainment Centre and our school music showcase later in the year. We had our choir assessment this week with the Adelaide musical director Robyn Filmer. She gave us an A! I really enjoy singing in the choir and I am looking forward to performing during the year and at the Entertainment Centre in Term 3.
