Stage 1 Outdoor Ed | Deep Creek Hike

Miss Downard’s Stage One Outdoor Education class packed their rucksacks and headed off to the Deep Creek National Park on the Fleurieu Peninsula this week to undertake their Bushwalking expedition. Students hiked over 35km in the three days, planned and prepared their own meals to cook on Trangia stoves, packed and walked with rucksacks and slept in tents.

Students hiked up and down steep hills, but were rewarded with waterfalls, beach coves that can only be accessed by foot and incredible clifftop views of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

All students represented the school with pride and demonstrated resilience in challenging situations. Well done!
