The 2025 Sports Day was a fantastic display of school spirit, determination, and community support. Students from across all year levels took part in a wide range of track and field events, competing as part of the Spencer Sharks and Vincent Eagles.
The atmosphere was full of energy as students cheered on their peers, aimed for personal bests, and embraced the true spirit of teamwork and perseverance. Staff and community volunteers played a vital role in ensuring the day ran smoothly, assisting with everything from event coordination to canteen service and presentation duties with a special thank you going to our cup presenters, John Spaans, Peter Bagshaw, Ali Adams, Debra Briggs, Luke Trenorden, and Rob Jeffries and to organisers Prue Brind and Naomi Bowley for all their efforts in the lead up and on the day.
Congratulations to all students for their efforts, and to those who received awards for outstanding individual performances. In a close and exciting finish, the Spencer Sharks claimed the Barrie Koch Cup with 5,005 points, finishing 393 points ahead of the Vincent Eagles, who earned 4,612 points. The Sharks also won the Ali Adams Cup 525 to 483 points.
The next inter-house competition will be the Splash Carnival in Term 4—another opportunity to show team pride and sportsmanship.
