Educators and children are excited to make a start on revamping our outdoor learning environment. The much awaited rain has proven to be the motivation we have needed to dig and remove large rocks, logs and the slippery dip! Whilst children have been actively involved in the ‘outdoor works’ they are discovering worms and other minibeasts and inquiring about their habitats.
Children are using their thinking minds to problem solve, assess risks to keep themselves and their friends safe, engaging in conversations to share their knowledge and ideas, learning about different tools and developing their social skills of sharing and turn taking.
Children have also accessed the logs and other resources to use in their play with loose parts, moving them with the sack trucks and making a camp fire.
We are all excited about our outdoor development and look forward to making our ideas come to life.
