Senior Ag Studies | Shearing Shed Excursion

On Friday March 19, the Year 11 Ag. class took a bus trip to Downlingville to complete our Sheep and Wool Production unit. We participated in helping prepare the sheep both before and after shearing. We watched and learnt how they shear, and we participated in the vaccinating, ear tagging, tipping sheep and general shed hand duties.
Each student was given a role and learnt many new skill sets from the farmers. On behalf of the class, we would like to give a big thanks to Luke Carter our Stock Agent and the Ardrossan Footy Club for allowing us to partake in the shearing shed process.
