Term 1 for the 2021 SRC team has taken off with a flying start!
GRIP LEADERSHIP
The secondary members of the team attended an overnight leadership course called GRIP in Adelaide.
We found this two day adventure very valuable and have each taken a lot of skills back to CYS such as how to organise a school event and ideas for fun team building activities. We would all like to thank Mrs Le Feuvre and Mr Baker for supporting us on this excursion.
2021 FUNDRAISING
Whilst on this trip, the team had their 2021 planning meeting. This was when all the charities that were suggested were voted on and I am pleased to announce that The Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide is the charity we are donating towards. The Hutt Street Centre is an organisation aimed at helping people who are facing homelessness and they help to rebuild their lives without judgement.
A BUSY TERM
The Team so far has hosted the Leaders Induction Ceremony, held a Staff Car Wash fundraiser, are about to host their second whole school assembly and plan to attend the ANZAC Dawn Service in the holidays. We have events organised for the following terms such as Crazy Hair Day, Wear Your Colours, Subway lunches, Walkathon and lunch time activities.
