Chloe & Tim

It has been great to finally launch our CYS oral language development program ‘Chloe and Tim’ on our school Website and Facebook page.
The videos have been extremely popular and quite a talking point within our community. We hope that the positive engagement continues to grow and we look forward to seeing you all accessing the face to face sessions once Covid restrictions ease.

For those of you who have not yet heard about the ‘Chloe and Tim’ initiative it is a free program designed to support toddler and preschool children’s oral language development and will be offered to all Yorke Peninsula parents/caregivers to support their children’s development.
The program is part of our school’s commitment to develop literacy achievement from birth to Year 12 across the community.

As you will see from the videos the program features songs, rhymes, musical games and stories aimed at developing children’s oral language through fun and engaging educational activities. The program also aligns to our whole school literacy focus and will provide children with a great head start into their kindy and school transition.

We are very fortunate to have our Year 2 teacher Chloe Whittaker and our K-10 Performing Arts teacher Tim Tuck running our ‘Chloe and Tim’ sessions. When Covid restrictions ease we hope to run the sessions face to face in our Community Library from 10am on Tuesdays and Fridays. Meanwhile we hope everyone continues to enjoy the short episodes that will continue to appear on our website and Facebook page.
