The Year 2 Class have been using modular patterns to create their own individualised model castles. Students learned modelling techniques including scoring (to create sharp creases), flanging (to support circular structures and improved gluing methods.
They explored the concepts of castle keeps, crenellations, moats and battlements then adapted basic modular patterns to design and model their castles. Students ‘value-added’ to their castles with fancy flags, lava defences, cannons, flower gardens and portcullises.
