A banner, a gift and one last stop for a much-loved driver!
Families on the Arthurton Bus Route gave long-time driver Smokey Matthew a heartfelt send-off on Friday 5 July, the last day of Term 2.
Organised as a surprise, the farewell took place in the main street of Arthurton, where families gathered with a large handmade banner to greet Smokey as he pulled in for the final time. He was presented with chocolates and wine in appreciation of his many years of dedicated service.
Smokey, who was employed by Ranchi Pty Ltd (recently acquired by Peninsula Coaches), is pictured with student Steele in one of the photos shared by a parent from the route.
