Last week, 10 students accompanied by Mr Jason Clifford and Kelly Whittaker went bushwalking as part of their SACE Outdoor Education subject. They left school Wednesday morning and travelled to the beautiful Mambray Creek for a great couple of days.
The spectacular views and challenging hiking up and down mountains, kept them motivated and determined to finish well. Students tackled the scenic hikes while carrying everything they needed in their backpacks. They cooked and prepared their own food, and enjoyed time around the campfire at night to keep warm before retiring to their tents for sleep.
Plenty of local wildlife were spotted along the way including kangaroos, wallabies, emus, kookaburras and goannas. The weather was convivial, with only a little rain and wind.
The experience was great for all involved and the scenery of Mambray Creek is a must see.
