When student voice is valued, genuine change is possible.
On May 30-31 I had the privilege of attending and presenting at the Student Voice Conference in Geelong, Victoria, hosted by the Australian Council for Student Voice – a continuation of previous discussions held in Vermont and Cambridge.
My presentation explored the role Artificial Intelligence is beginning to play across our education systems, with a spotlight on the Department for Education’s EdChat model here in South Australia, a platform that supports student-led conversations around digital learning and future-focused education.
Across both days, the conference brought together a range of voices and perspectives, all reinforcing a shared message: when student voice is genuinely valued, real change is possible. And to top it off, we closed the conference with a bold provocation to the Prime Minister of Australia.
