The class first learnt the cell names and functions of the plant and animal cell. We then got into pairs and chose whether to make an animal or plant cell pizza.
Once the pairs decided what type of cell pizza they were making, the pairs made a list of appropriate ingredients for either a savoury or sweet pizza to match each of the organelles in that cell.
Once the pairs had all of the ingredients matched with the organelles they were able to make the pizza during the triple lesson on Friday.
Everyone enjoyed this assignment and thought that their pizzas were delicious.
