Professional badminton player Callum Dunk visited CYS on Tuesday October 26 and took secondary students through skill, strategy and match-play exercises.
Callum worked with Year 9/10 students before recess, continued with the SAASTA students until lunch and finished the day with a class of Year 11’s.
Groups started with a review of basic skills then focused on specific skill-sets such as serving or volleys.
Students learned techniques to minimise opponents strengths along with foot and hand placement and doubles strategies.
Thank you to Badminton SA for the opportunity to work with Callum and learn more about this great game. Thank you to Callum for your professional approach and your educational, informative and fun approach to learning new skills.
