Rex in the ELC

Rex, our resident Eastern Blue Tongue lizard, has taken his summer holiday early with an extended visit to the Early Learning Centre. Primary student animal monitors packed up Rex’s food, vivarium, heater, and water bowl and after a thorough clean up moved him over to the Kindy for a month-long residency. Rex is more than 12 years old, having being saved from a road accident that took the life of his mother. He is a popular class pet, being both inquisitive yet friendly and has won over many staff and students. ELC students have enjoyed observing, documenting, and sketching Rex as he enjoys the new views, sounds and smells of his temporary home.
