Harmony Week is celebrated each year in the week that includes March 21 – the special “United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination”.
Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging and is a chance for communities to celebrate their diversity.
Aboriginal Community Education Officer Monique Schulte coordinated our 2023 event with special food tastings, cultural activities and a Harmony Week assembly.
Students made a giant wall mural, shared foods from different cultures and joined together to read three special books about diversity and cultural celebrations.
