Community Library | April Update

Premiers Reading Challenge

Term 1 has been busy with classes starting their Premier’s Reading Challenge. It’s terrific seeing students complete the challenge and earn their Certificate, Bronze, Silver, Champion, Legend, Hall of Fame or Reader for Life status. Congratulations to Miss Atkin’s Literacy class who have already completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge–what superstars!

Anzac Display

One of the books we borrowed and read was ANZAC Ted by Belinda Landsberry which was a great introduction to discuss Anzac Day.

Come check out our Anzac books, with some on display and more coming, thanks to those who have donated. We’ll let the community know once they’ve been processed.

Little Groovers

Little Groovers with Janine Burrows is a Thursday highlight for so many people!. It’s a great opportunity to meet other parents and grandparents who bring their little ones for some fun with books, songs and more. The sessions are from 9.30–10.30am and it’s not only the little ones going home for a nap afterwards!

Thank you

Thank you to everyone for their patience and support this term as Dianne Hasting and I find our feet in the library. We thank Pat Hasting for her support and guidance and wish her all the best on her well deserved long service leave. We also thank Chris Williams, a familiar face in the library, for helping the new staff settle in to their roles.
