Central Yorke School welcomed Primary Student Leaders from Ardrossan Area School and Minlaton District School for the annual Primary Leaders Immersion Day.
Throughout the day, students explored the qualities of effective leadership, sharing ideas and discussing the attributes they believe are most important in leading others. Working collaboratively, they took part in a “Build Your Own Leader” challenge, creating and presenting their ideal leader while developing communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
Students also participated in a range of problem solving activities, built new friendships and worked alongside peers from across the Yorke Peninsula. The day concluded with students reflecting on strategies and ideas they could take back to strengthen leadership opportunities within their own school communities.
The immersion day provided a valuable opportunity for young leaders to connect, collaborate and continue developing the skills needed to make a positive difference in their schools.
