YP Combined Schools ensembles achieved outstanding Eisteddfod results.
The YP Combined Schools Concert Band achieved outstanding success at the 30th Balaklava Eisteddfod, winning the Open Band Division and being named Overall Band Champions across the Concert, Stage and Open Band competitions.
The result reflected the dedication and teamwork of the students, staff and community members who rehearse together for 90 minutes after school each Wednesday. Their enthusiasm, perseverance and hard work contributed to an exceptional achievement.
The YP Combined Schools Vocal Ensemble also delivered an excellent performance in the Senior A Choral Division, receiving an honourable mention with a score of 95 out of 100.
The school extends its thanks to the organisers and committee for providing another successful Eisteddfod and valuable performance opportunities for young musicians.
The annual Music Showcase Concert will be held on Wednesday, 4 November at 7pm in the McKnight Theatre, Maitland, celebrating another year of music across the participating school communities.
