Linda McCabe from Red Cross provided four of our Senior ag students with the opportunity to attend a Farming First Aid course which was held at Maitland on Wednesday 18th August.
With on-farm accidents an ongoing concern in Australia, the course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to assist themselves and others to cope with accidents and injury.
The course covers basic life support, breathing emergencies, fractures and bleeding care and other farm-related accidents.
Georgina , Zeph , Rhyan and Harrison enjoyed the off site learning day, obtained a certificate in Basic Emergency Life Support and had positive interactions with the local community.
