6/7 Science | Rube Goldberg Machines

Wikipedia defines a Rube Goldberg Machine (named after American cartoonist Rube Goldberg), as a chain reaction–type machine or contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and overly complicated way.” The 6/7 class have started on their own machines and every machine needs to accomplish a task. Ours range from tapping a key on a computer keyboard, to dunking a biscuit in a glass of milk😂😂The students need to use at least four of the six simple machines we’ve studied- so look out for levers, wedges, wheels, inclined planes, screws and pulleys in the final designs.
