Year 7/8 Egyptian Learning Expedition

Miss Caputo and Miss Rich’s Year 7/8 class concluded their Ancient Egypt Learning Expedition with a museum style showcase of student learning.

Throughout the term, students combined HASS and English studies to investigate Ancient Egypt, exploring topics including daily life, pharaohs, pyramids, mummification, gods and goddesses, and the Nile River. In English, students developed narrative writing skills before creating short stories inspired by Ancient Egypt.

Students designed artefacts, built dioramas, created mummies and transformed their classroom into an interactive museum space. The project highlighted creativity, collaboration, organisation and cross curriculum learning. Families, staff and community members attended the exhibition to view the students’ work and presentations.
