Picasso Cow Excursion

Our Year 2 and 3 students enjoyed a hands-on dairy farming experience, visiting two local farms, meeting the cows and discovering more about where our food comes from.

Our Year 2 and 3 students had a fantastic time visiting two local farms, where they met farmer Seth and Rosie the cow, along with farmers Matt and Krystal and Betsie the cow.

We had a wonderful day making butter for fairy bread, tasting yummy cheesecake and yoghurt ice creams, exploring the farms and learning all about what makes a happy dairy cow.

This excursion was part of our Dairy Australia Picasso Cow Project, giving students the opportunity to build on their classroom learning and discover more about dairy farming, animal care and where our food comes from.

A big thank you to our wonderful farmers for sharing their farms, knowledge and cows with us!
