Student Mobile Phone Policy Change

Changes have been made to the school student mobile phone policy. The most important change is that:

” Students will not use mobile phones during the school day, be it in classes or at breaks.”

Basically we are banning the use of mobile phones by students during the time they are at school. The reason for this is to promote learning without the distraction of calls, texts and social media.

If parents still wish to contact their child they are able to do so through the front office.

There will be a three-week grace period at the beginning of Term 2 before the policy is implemented. The amended policy is printed in full on page 6 of this newsletter.

I thank you for your continued support in fostering a culture of student excellence in learning. Please contact me at the school if you have any queries regarding this change.
