National Student Voice Conference

Head Prefect Rhys Heinrich recently represented South Australia at the National Student Voice Conference, held at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Kelvin Grove Campus in Brisbane on 5 and 6 June.

Organised by the Australian Council for Student Voice, the conference brought together students, teachers, school leaders, researchers and policymakers from across Australia. Under the theme Power, Partnership and Possibility, participants explored equitable decision making, student agency and approaches to strengthening student voice within schools and communities.

Throughout the conference, Rhys participated in discussions and workshops focused on empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to their education and communities. The event provided opportunities to connect with students and educators from across the country, exchange ideas and learn about innovative initiatives being implemented in a range of educational settings.

Rhys’s participation reflected Central Yorke School’s ongoing commitment to student leadership and ensuring student voice plays an active role in shaping school communities.
