Year 7/8 students have begun a cross curricular project combining Art, English and HASS, centred on storytelling, accessibility and community connections. As part of the program, students are visiting Eldercare Village to spend time with residents, listening to their experiences, memories and life stories.
The conversations are helping students build connections across generations while developing a deeper understanding of the people and history within their community. Using these stories as inspiration, students will create painted portraits that reflect both the residents and their personal journeys.
The completed works will be showcased in a special exhibition during Week 10.
