Our Senior Agriculture students joined the Yorke Peninsula Ag Alliance at the Royal Adelaide Show, proudly presenting their steers and achieving success in the competitions.
Our Senior Agriculture students enjoyed four fantastic days at the 2026 Royal Adelaide Show, representing Central Yorke School as part of the Yorke Peninsula Ag Alliance Led Steer Team.
The team brought together 12 students from several schools across the Yorke Peninsula, along with four magnificent steers: Royal Basil Ashvell, King George Bayview, Big Mike Junella and Sir Wilson Bayview.
The students achieved some wonderful results in the cattle handling competitions, winning four ribbons. These results reflected the strong connections our students had developed with their steers, their refined show ring skills and their knowledge of the animals.
Our steers also performed well, with Big Mike placing fourth in his heat and Royal Basil sixth in his.

Your continued involvement provides our students with valuable opportunities to develop their Agriculture skills and gain practical experience.
