This term, the year 8, 9 and 10 students have been working with sheet-metal. This requires plenty of measurement, attention to detail and the learning of new skills such as: folding, cutting, drilling, pot riveting and following a template and all while displaying safe work practises.
First, the students were given step-by-step instruction to build a small box.
Next, they were assessed on how well they could independently apply their new skills to create a toolbox.
They showed a great level of engagement resulting in the production of some high-quality pieces.
