Dr Martin Westwell, the Chief Executive of the Department for Education, visited the Maitland Campus today. The visit included a discussion on the way the teacher country incentive program has helped us support and recruit teachers coming out into the country. This was followed by a tour of the school where we were able to showcase our major learning areas, the agricultural and outdoor learning spaces, the Performing Arts Centre and our creative wing. Mr Westwell was presented with a gift bag of CYS publications and one of the first tomato plants from the new greenhouse.
